Step 1: Check if you qualify
- SA citizen with valid ID
- Age 18+ (some posts have max age)
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent
- Fit (medical, mental, physical)
- No criminal record
- Fluent in English + one official language
- Extra requirements may apply (e.g. driver’s license)
Step 2: Find vacancies
- SAPS website → Careers/Vacancies → erecruitment.saps.gov.za
- Government job boards / recruitment updates
Step 3: Register (if online)
- Create account on eRecruitment portal
- Use RSA ID, email, cellphone number
- Verify account
Step 4: Get ready
- Complete online profile (personal info, education, contact)
- Gather documents: ID copy, Matric certificate, proof of residence, other qualifications
- Some posts need forms (Z83, SAPS-specific)
Step 5: Apply
- Select post → read advert carefully
